Renting the Whole Playground: What a Full-Facility Private Event in Vaughan Costs

August 31, 20260

PRIVATE EVENT COST GUIDEMost venues will not tell you what it costs to rent the whole place. You fill in a form, wait two days, and get a number that depends on questions you didn’t know you were being asked. Here is ours: booking Playtropolis privately is $2,875 plus HST for two hours, $3,500 for three and $4,000 for four. For the booked rental period, the facility is reserved exclusively for your group, with the included attractions, party-room areas and family seating available under the confirmed package terms.

Whether that is worth it depends almost entirely on your guest count and on how much you care about having the place to yourselves. This post walks through both, and through the occasions we see it booked for most often.

Plan with current details: Pricing, inclusions and availability may change. Treat the figures in this guide as a clear starting point and confirm the complete current package terms before paying a deposit or inviting guests.

What “full facility” actually means

A private party room is not a private playground. At most venues — including ours, on a standard birthday package — your group gets a room to eat in, and the play floor is shared with whoever else walked in that afternoon.

A full-facility booking is the other thing. For the hours you have booked, Playtropolis is closed to the public and open only to your group. That covers the whole floor: the adventure playground, the separated toddler zone for ages 1 to 4, the Ninja Course, the rope course, the jump zone, the gentle carousel, the ball pit, pretend play, and basketball and interactive play. Nothing inside is gated behind tokens or a separate charge.

Practically, three things change when you take the whole venue. Your group can follow a coordinated event flow — including food, cake, photos or presentations — without regular public admission during the booked period. Active adult supervision and all posted attraction rules still apply.

What it costs, and what is included

  • Two hours — $2,875 + HST
  • Three hours — $3,500 + HST
  • Four hours — $4,000 + HST

Every one of those includes exclusive use of the venue and every attraction in it, plus five party-size pizzas, 50 juice boxes and 50 bottles of water, plates and napkins, unlimited e-invitations, and setup time before your guests arrive. There is no per-activity charge on top.

Current pricing and the full inclusion list live on the private events page, which is the page to check before you budget — figures here are accurate at the time of writing.

Private room or the whole venue? Where the maths flips

One useful comparison is the current largest standard birthday package. An Ultimate Play Party covers 30 children and 30 adults for four hours at $1,799 + HST, with a private party room and full play access — but the playground is still open to the public.

A four-hour full-facility rental is $4,000 + HST. At current listed prices, the four-hour full-facility option is approximately $2,200 more than that standard four-hour package. Confirm both package pages before budgeting because prices and inclusions can change.

That is the real question, and it is not a close call in either direction:

  • Under about 30 children, and you mainly want a room, food and a host — a birthday package does the job for a fraction of the price.
  • Over 30 children, ask the team to compare the appropriate standard package with the full-facility option for your complete guest count rather than assuming that additional guests can simply be added.
  • Any group where exclusivity is the point — a company event, a photographer, a school, a group that needs the floor to itself — the full-facility rate is the only option that delivers it, at any guest count.

What people actually book the whole playground for

Corporate family day

Staff bring their kids, and nobody has to make small talk standing up. It works because the children entertain themselves for three hours while the adults sit in the café area with sightlines to most of the floor. It can be a practical option when families and colleagues need one shared venue.

The staff holiday party where kids are invited

A private indoor venue can simplify a staff celebration that includes children. Seasonal dates are limited, so request availability early.

Daycare and preschool graduations

A private floor can make it easier to coordinate a short ceremony, family photos, food and active play for a graduating group.

Sports team wind-ups

A team can combine trophies, food and active play in one weather-proof location.

Extended-family celebrations

Milestone birthdays, a family reunion, a religious celebration — anywhere the guest list runs from toddlers to grandparents and everyone needs somewhere to be.

Questions worth asking any venue before you book an exclusive event

  1. Is it genuinely exclusive? Some venues describe a large booking as “private” while public admission continues. Ask directly whether the doors are closed to walk-ins during your hours.
  2. Is every attraction included? Where there are rides, arcades or token machines, exclusivity does not always mean they are switched on and free. Ask what your guests can use without paying again.
  3. What is included in the food, and for how many? Compare the actual quantities, not the headline.
  4. How long before your start time can you set up? If you are bringing a cake, a décor vendor or A/V, this is the number that decides whether the event runs on time.
  5. Who runs it on the day? Ask what staff handle and what falls to you.
  6. What are the terms if the date moves? Worth knowing before you pay anything.

How booking works here

Three steps. Choose the length you want, send us your event details and preferred date through the form on the private events page, and our team confirms availability and the next steps with you. High-demand and seasonal dates may fill earlier, so request availability before finalizing invitations or vendors.

Common questions

How much does it cost to rent an indoor playground in Vaughan?

A full-facility private rental at Playtropolis is $2,875 + HST for two hours, $3,500 for three hours and $4,000 for four hours. That covers exclusive use of the venue and every attraction, plus five party-size pizzas, 50 juice boxes, 50 bottles of water, plates, napkins, e-invitations and setup time.

What is the difference between a private party room and a private event?

A private party room gives your group a dedicated room while the playground stays open to the public. A full-facility private event closes the venue to everyone but your group for the hours you have booked.

Can a company book Playtropolis for a staff event?

Yes. Corporate family days, staff holiday parties, school and daycare events, sports team celebrations and holiday parties are all booked as full-facility rentals.

Do we need to pay separately for any of the attractions?

No. A full-facility booking covers every attraction in the building for the length of the rental. There are no per-activity or token charges.

Can we bring our own decorations?

Yes, and our team can coordinate with approved external décor vendors. Tell us what you are planning when you enquire so we can build it into the setup time.

About Playtropolis

One admission covers every attraction — an adventure playground, a separated toddler zone for ages 1 to 4, pretend play, a Ninja Course, a rope course, a jump zone, a gentle carousel, a ball pit, and basketball and interactive play — so a four-year-old and a nine-year-old can spend the same visit doing completely different things.

Grip socks are required for children and socks for adults in the play areas. Play equipment is certified by the manufacturer to applicable CSA and ASTM standards, and a parent or guardian stays on site and supervises throughout.
