The children will enjoy almost anywhere you take them; you are the one who has to make the budget work, get the waivers signed, keep twenty-five of them in sight for two and a half hours, and feed them somewhere that isn’t a windy picnic table.
A group visit to Playtropolis is $15.99 per child plus HST, with a minimum of 15 paid children recommended for the advertised group rate and required supervising staff included at no additional charge. That covers 2.5 hours of play, a slice of cheese pizza, a juice box and a snack for every child, a private room to eat in, and coffee for the adults. Every child also leaves with a weekday return pass valid for 60 days. Below is everything else you need to plan it.

The return pass is worth flagging to parents when you send the trip letter home. It excludes public holidays, PA days, March Break and the December holiday break, but for most families it turns one school trip into a second free visit.

What the 2.5 hours actually looks like
The exact schedule is confirmed with the Playtropolis team. As a planning framework, many groups find it useful to think in five stages:
- Arrival and check-in. Confirm waivers, follow the arrival instructions and make sure every child has the required grip socks. Grip socks are not included in the field-trip package.
- First play block. The longest stretch, and the one where the energy comes off. Children spread across the adventure playground, the Ninja Course, the rope course, the jump zone and the ball pit; younger groups tend to settle in the toddler zone and pretend play.
- Food in the private room. Pizza, juice and a snack, everyone sitting down, coats and bags in the same room.
- Second play block. Shorter, calmer, and useful for getting a headcount before you leave.
- Departure. Socks and shoes back on, room cleared.
If your group has a hard departure time for buses, say so when you book so the schedule is built backwards from it.
Supervision and keeping a class countable
Your board’s or centre’s own policy sets your supervision ratio, and because supervising staff are admitted free, the number you bring is a policy question rather than a budget one. Bring what your policy requires, and one more than you think you need for the toddler group.
The connected layout and clear sightlines are designed to make group monitoring easier. Assign supervisors to zones, use scheduled headcounts and confirm your group plan before arrival. Children must use attractions appropriate to their age, height and the posted safety requirements.
Staff supervision does not replace yours: a parent, guardian or supervising adult from your group stays with the children throughout, and posted age, height and attraction rules apply.
Waivers for a whole class
Waivers are required for every child. The practical approach is to send the waiver link home with the trip letter, so parents sign it themselves in advance rather than you collecting twenty-five signatures in the lobby on the day.

Allergies and the food question
Playtropolis is a nut-aware facility. That means nut products are not knowingly served or sold, and staff are briefed on it — but it is not the same as an allergen-free guarantee, and we will not tell you it is. Food is prepared in a shared space and guests bring their own items in.
If your group includes children with food allergies, tell us when you book. The included food is a slice of cheese pizza, a juice box and a snack; if a child cannot eat it, plan for them to bring their own, and let us know so the private room is set up accordingly. Anaphylaxis plans and medication stay with your staff as they would on any trip.
Getting there, and getting a bus in
Playtropolis is at 8000 Highway 27, Unit 8, in Woodbridge, near the Highway 27 and Highway 7 intersection. Its Highway 27 location can be convenient for schools and daycares travelling from Vaughan, Woodbridge and nearby GTA communities.

Booking, deposits and lead time
A $200 deposit by e-transfer secures your date. Three steps: send your group details — date, number of children, ages, arrival and departure times — confirm the schedule with our team, then arrive ready to play.
Availability varies by date, capacity, holidays and private events. Request your preferred weekday early and wait for written confirmation before arranging transportation.
Daycare groups vs. school groups
The package is the same; the day is not.
Daycare and preschool groups may need tighter supervision ratios, an earlier food break and more time in age-appropriate areas such as the toddler zone and pretend play. Share nap, meal and departure constraints when requesting the booking.
Elementary school groups may use a wider range of attractions. For mixed grades, assign supervisors by zone and follow every posted age, height and safety requirement rather than assuming all children can use the same equipment.
